That's it

The state of Schleswig Holstein decided to close the golf courses. This means that my winter break will start earlier than planned. I am available for training on January 28, 2021. My online calendar is available from this date. Hopefully the golf courses will be open again by then.

I would like to thank you all for your flexibility and loyalty during a season where we have had to keep making changes due to new Covid-19 rules. Unfortunately, no training trips will be possible this winter. For this reason, my colleague Mark and I are offering our students the opportunity to practice in our training circuit from February 2021. All instructions for the circle are sent digitally and we maintain the circle. The circuit can be completed alone or as a couple, all Covid-19 rules are observed. If you are interested send me a message and I will send the details next year.

As 2020 closes, I would like to share with you my reflection on this unusual season. When we reopened in May we noticed that nature was in bloom and we were grateful to be back out on the golf course. The short time we were deprived helped us be thankful for the privilege of playing golf. Let's try to keep that feeling every time we enter the golf course.

With Covid-19 rules enforcing double play and tee times I have heard from a number of golfers how comfortable it is to play in this form. To this day there are golf courses in the UK that only allow two people to play. This dates back to when golf was only played as matchplay singles or classic foursomes. This form of the game is fast and sporty. My hope for the future is that golf clubs make time for the golfers who enjoy this form of play. Crawling around the golf course in groups of four, stopping for every kind of entertainment, counting every shot to the bitter end and the most important decision of the day is what to wear for post game dinner might be some fun and they should take their time, but I don't think it's a sport. In order for golf to be consistently attractive to sporty people, it must offer a sporting environment at club level.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Above all, I wish that we can all stay healthy in 2021 and continue playing golf.

Your Lindsey aka Golf Domina 😉
