Scotland golf trip - Highlands and North

The east coast of northern Scotland is considered to be the area with the least rainfall and has a very mild climate. We start our 10 day journey 30km north of Aberdeen in the picturesque coastal town of Cruden Bay.

We spend our first three days of golf on the scenic golf courses: Cruden Bay, Newburgh on Ythan and Peterhead. The following day - without a game of golf - we visit the Glen Garioch Whiskey Distillery.

The distillery, founded in 1838, is still considered an insider tip. The whiskeys are characterized by their special sustainability. Continue to Inverness, the northernmost city in Great Britain and the capital of the Highlands. On the way we play at the Duff House Royal Golf Club, a parkland course. In Inverness we spend our two days of golf on the Muir of Ord and Strathpeffer golf courses. Muir of Ord is a heathland/moorland course renowned for its stunning Scottish scenery with clear views of Ben Wyvis to the north and the Beauly Firth to the south. On a clear day you might be able to catch a glimpse of Loch Ness. Strathpeffer is a parkland course with stunning panoramic views of Dingwall and the Cromarty Firth, the Cairngorms to the south and the Torridon Hills to the west.

Our second day out is to Kyle of Lochalsh on the west coast. The area is famous for its landscape of castles, hills and lakes and is known for its delicious seafood. On our final day we visit the traditional Highland Gathering and Games at Glenurquhart. Musicians and muscle men travel from all over to compete.

Come with me on a journey to a country known for its fascinating landscape, hospitality and wonderful golf courses. I look forward to meeting you!
